This is what marriage COULD lead to.
Any relationship is difficult with its opinions, viewpoints, and necessities. My prayer is that Kari and I can hold a relationship based on continual love- divorce is not an option.
The first love poem reads as follows,
“‘At last!’ Adam exclaimed. “She is part of my own flesh and bone! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of man.'” (Genesis 2:23)
Adam & Eve were united as one. BUT, as soon as trouble came (the fall in Genesis 3) the egg started to
CRACK and Adam blamed Eve for her mistake. As soon as harsh words and blame come into the relationship, turmoil rises. Harsh words, blame, and related actions is pride.
MORE PRIDE= LESS LOVE we need LESS PRIDE to produce MORE LOVE
Kari and I try to better ourselves every day by lessening pride and showing greater love.
This is what marriage SHOULD lead to.
Sharing everything in life. Laughing through every moment. Lifting each other to God. And loving God every second. Here’s an IDEAL model of love:
1 John 3:16
, “We know what real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives…”
Did Jesus say, “NO, NO, NO, I am not going to die on that piece of wood” ? Of course not.
So we, OUGHT to love each other and give up our lives, continually.
What does that look like in relationships?
Is it going to buy a diet coke when she REALLY wants one?
Is it throwing away your pride when you KNOW you are right?
Is it pulling out a book when you know she is running LATE?
Find your loving way to love & do it always.
